I have stayed at most accommodation available in Gisborne and this would have to be one of my preferred options. Large spacious rooms which are well kept. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.

Beautifully presented rooms with all the modern comforts. Very friendly owners who go the extra mile to make sure you enjoy your stay. I will be making this my regular stop when travelling to Gisborne.

Extremely friendly hosts who go the extra mile to look after Guests' comforts. The place is new, clean and tidy. The rooms are serviced daily and new towels and bed linens were provided every day during our stay. Comfortable in all respects, with easy secure parking facilities. A thoroughly enjoyable stay. Looking forward to stay again at this Motel during our next visit to Gisborne.

The White Heron has recently refurbished rooms and they are very roomy and comfortable. We spent 3 weeks touring the North Island utilizing a variety of accommodations and this motel was in our top 3 overall. Highly recommend this motel.

Fantastic overnight stay (Petap444, March 2018)
Lovely room - as new with all amenities (Sky TV, free wifi, free laundry, spa bath & king size bed). Hosts friendly & gave general advice on where to eat etc. A pretty little town that makes a timely stop between Rotorua and anywhere south.

Right on the main street of motor lodges, this lovely little motel was a perfect location for rest in Gisborne. Plus, you can order a fresh, hot breakfast delivered promptly to the room by the managers. Bed was large and comfortable, with a large dining and living area. Great air conditioning on very hot Gisborne day.

Our room was new, clean, fresh and well-equipped. Large comfortable bed, kitchenette and large tv. After a long day travelling the spa bath was wonderful. Short walk to bakery for morning coffee etc. Although on a busy road, we were not troubled by any traffic noise.

Welcome and assistance (Gerry H, Jan 2018)
We arrived late in the afternoon ,the lodge was busy and our hosts in a warm and professional way attended to all . Although there as not a mobility room available they found a chair for the shower and showed us around the room. It would work well for our time here .The Lodge has been recently redecorated and was spotless. The bathroom worked well and the shower pressure was wonderful...

... arriving at the White Heron was like walking into an oasis of calm and tranquility and it only got better. Getting into a gloriously comfortable bed with divine sheets and pillows was wonderful. My morning shower was fantastic with wonderful water pressure and gorgeous shampoo, conditioner and body lotion, loved that stuff. There was everything in the room we could have needed, lovely cutlery and crockery ... Coming back each day and the bed was made beautifully, everything clean and tidy and smelling so nice was a pleasure... Everyone we dealt with were so friendly and helpful. I hope I have the opportunity to come back some time.
